This program is for those who are fairly certain they know their career path and meets weekly for 4 weeks.

We start out with a 60-90 minute Discovery career coaching session.

Then we administer the Myers-Briggs Personality Assessment and provide a detailed report.

Coaching Sessions allow us to review the results of the personality inventory so we can learn more about your personality as it relates to your chosen career.

Then we administer the Strong Interest Inventory  Career Assessment and provide a detailed report. The Strong integrates the results of the Myers-Briggs so you get some custom tailored options.

Weekly Coaching Sessions allow us to review the results of the Strong Interest Inventory  Career Assessment as we begin to determine the right career and job for your personality and interests and compare those to people actually working in careers of interest to you.

About The Myers-Briggs

The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-report questionnaire whose purpose is to indicate differing psychological preferences in how people perceive the world around them and make decisions.

Katherine Briggs found Psychiatrist Carl Jung’s work useful while she was also grappling with similar thoughts. She and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers, took the core components of Jung’s theory and created the MBTI instrument. The MBTI instrument helps people to understand their psychological type and is the most widely-used personality assessment in the world. Knowing your type is important because each career and job has specific personality requirements of the worker. In career coaching, we use your type information by comparing it to people working in actual jobs so you can see the best fit for you.

About the Strong Interest Inventory

The goal of this assessment is to give insight into a person’s interests, so that they may have less difficulty in deciding on an appropriate career choice for themselves. The test was developed by psychologist Edward Kellog Strong, Jr. and later revised by Jo-Ida Hansen and David Campbell. After scoring, an individual can then view how their personal interests compare with the interests of people in a specific career field. The Strong Interest Inventory incorporates the information on the Myers-Briggs assessment and helps individuals identify their work personality by exploring their interests in six broad areas: realistic, artistic, investigative, social, enterprising, and conventional. The Strong also looks at an individual’s personal style preferences in five areas: work style, learning environment, team orientation, leadership style, and risk-taking, and ranks the individual’s top 5 or 10 most compatible occupations from a list of 260 specific jobs.
